John Benedict Obituary
John was born February 8 th , 1952 in Marysville, Ca to Loren & Catherine Benedict. John graduated from Gridley High School in 1970, where he then attended Butte College for two years and was later inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001. John then transferred to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he married the love of his life Doreen Shelton on September 16th, 1973. John also played on the golf team before graduating in 1974.
John's priorities in life were first and foremost his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family and friends, and his lifelong dedication to working in the construction industry. John's best days were spent with his family and friends golfing and at their cabin in Graeagle.
John is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Doreen, Sons: Patrick Benedict (Heather), Kelly Benedict (Libbie), Kevin Benedict (Lisa), and his only "Girl" Ashley Johnson (Jimmy). Grandchildren: Loren, Triston, Brycen, Christian, Grace, Chance, Madison, Mayci, Myli, Marli, Raegan, Harper, and one Great Grandchild, Broc. John was preceded in death by his parents Loren and Catherine Benedict.
