My most sincere sympathy to Shirley's family and friends. Her food and restaurants are iconic to many past residents and travelers.
I have been away from Guam for years, but I will never forget the old Agana Shirley's Coffee Shop with Shirley keeping the coffee cups full and hot. Shirley, we miss you!

What a lady. What an inspiration and role model not only to women but all who knew her.
We thank you Shirley for all the wonderful meals and great times over the many years we spent visiting your establishments.
Our condolences go out to all your loved ones.

To the family of Mama Shirley,
We would like to express our deepest condlences on your loss. My mother worked with Mama for close to 20 years starting at the original location next to the former Le Tasi Bistro. Since we resided in Anigua, it was only a 2 minute walk for my mom each morning from the apartment to Shirley's. My father Hawley Clayton Iseke, also know as Uncle IKE was a dear friend of Mama Shirley as well. I recall Mama Shirley being one of the first ones to come to the apartment when my father passed away in 1995. Though my mom eventually moved on from Shirley's, the respect and friendship she was given from Mama and the Lai family was profound. Go and Rest now Mama and may your memories live on in your children, grandchildren, and in the company you started so many years ago.

Rest in Peace Mama Shirley my family ate in Shirley's at least once a week during our 6 yr tour in Guam and we have just returned to the island in September '09 and Shirley's was the first place we went to once we checked into our hotel. Our deepest condolences are extended to her family.

Our deepest sympathy to Shirley's immediate and extended family. As former residents of Guam and frequent visitors to the Dededo Shirley's, we know the terrific customer service that she displayed and instilled in her employees. When we came back for a visit, Shirley's was the first place we returned to eat!! The warmth that all displayed when we came (even when our son would walk down there to eat by himself!!) was so appreciated and is now so very much missed. Please comfort in knowing that Shirley touched so many lives and will be missed by all.
