Marie Harmon Obituary
Marie Harmon, 95, passed away at the Lodge in Zachary, Louisiana, on Friday, April 7, 2023.
Marie was born to Elbert and Ava Lee Fugatt on March 24, 1928, the oldest of five children. Marie and her husband, Robert, owned the local cable television company in Kosciusko. After retirement, they both volunteered at the Attala County Helping Hands Ministry. After the death of her husband, Marie continued her volunteer work at the local nursing home. She volunteered her talents for the residents by making neck pillows, lap throws, and tote bags for walkers. She also restored old dolls and gave them to children. Marie was an active member of Parkway Baptist Church.
She was survived by three sisters, Maxcine Gullic, Peggy Maddox, and Janice Weatherly (J.R.), and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harmon, Jr.; her parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Annie and Robert Harmon Sr.; brother, Elbert Fugatt Jr.; brothers-in-law, Bobby D. Gullic and Charles Harmon (Jane).
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2023 at Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church with Brother Jonathan Baxter officiating, under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Bethesda, Arkansas.
