Thomas Williams Obituary

Thomas "Tommy" Eugene Williams 74 went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday March 27, 2025 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas. Tommy was born on January 3, 1951 in Guymon, Oklahoma to his parents, Paul and Novella (Tidwell) Williams. He grew up in Guymon and attended Guymon Public Schools all twelve years graduating with the class of 1969. He went on to further his education by attending Panhandle State University graduating in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. He was also part of the ROTC program where he advanced from a private to a 2nd Lt. in the Army reserves.

In Tommy's early years, he loved helping his Uncle Leroy and Aunt Audrey on their farm in Boise City, OK. He went to work as a custom cutter for one summer and for his brother-in-law for a short period of time. Tommy was very active in the TV ministry at The First Baptist Church of Guymon. Services never went smoothly unless he was in his spot making sure all was on and ready to go and sound levels were to his liking. He especially loved filming Guymon Tiger Football games with his longtime friend Bill Bridges.

On February 23, 1974, he married the lovely Sharon Kay Bearden, and to this union two children came along, James and Sharise.

Tommy worked in the oil field industry for most of his adult life before semi-retiring from being the "The Explosives Guy" at Weatherford in September of 2015. After retirement, he enjoyed reading and took on a new job volunteering at Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry where they became his second family.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Paul and Novella Williams, Father-in-Law, Jack Bearden, and infant sister Callie Bea.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sharon Williams of the home. Their children, James Williams and wife Julie of Norman, Oklahoma. Sharise Williams and partner Tyler Humble, of Hooker, Oklahoma. His two grandsons, Brian Williams of Norman and Zakk Humble of Hooker. His Mother-in-Law, Anne Bearden, Tommy is also survived by his three sisters, Oneda (Bob) Stewart, Pauline (Doug) Payne, and Della (Phil) Scott. Two Brother-In-Laws, Kim (Mariafe) Bearden and Terral (Karen) Bearden and numerous nieces and nephews. Tommy's personality and being was beyond compare, his humor, even though annoying or frightening was cherished amongst his family. His laughter was infectious and could always be heard from down the hall. His spirit even though gone will be forever missed.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning, March 31st at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Guymon with Pastor Michael Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation with family will be Sunday afternoon, March 30th between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. at Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home.

Memorials in memory of Tommy will be accepted for Loaves & Fishes or the First Baptist Church TV Ministry. Memorials will be accepted at Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942
