On February 23, 1974, he married the lovely Sharon Kay Bearden, and to this union two children came along, James and Sharise.
Tommy worked in the oil field industry for most of his adult life before semi-retiring from being the "The Explosives Guy" at Weatherford in September of 2015. After retirement, he enjoyed reading and took on a new job volunteering at Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry where they became his second family.
