Arthur Castleberry Obituary

Arthur Thomas (Tommy) Castleberry passed away Saturday morning, December 1, 2007 at Dekalb Medical Hospital from complications of a recent illness. He is survived by his mother, Rita Cleary Castleberry (Lawrenceville) and two sisters and their husbands, Christine and Bill Hackney (Lawrenceville) and Jean and Don Nation (Lilburn). “Uncle Tom” is also survived by four nephews and two nieces, Christopher, Andrew and Jessica Hackney and Billy, Sean and Nicole Nation. Arthur Thomas was born on August 9, 1959 and attended Henderson High School in Dekalb County, graduating class of 1977. He attended Dekalb College and Gwinnett Tech and earned an Associate Degree in AutoCad Design. His career over the next 20 years encompassed drafting and design for Ford, Bacon & Davis, Arthur Anderson Consulting and residential drawings for various construction firms. His business, “Castle Concepts” was a newly developed company for commercial and residential drawings and landscape design. Tommy had a special love and appreciation for his dogs and cats and also a keen interest in rare plants and gardening. His generosity to his family and kind spirit to everyone he met will be missed. He was an active member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. Our loved one's viewing is Thursday, December 6th at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel from 6:30p.m. to 8:30p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, December 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Bethesda United Methodist Church, Rev. Jim Cabaniss officiating. Burial Gwinnett Memorial Park. Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, 770-277-4550.
