Barbara Cote Obituary

Barbara Harrell Picaso Cote passed from this earthly life to heaven on May 29, 2023. Upon retiring from 35 years at Rich's Department Stores, Barbara and her husband AJ Cote, devoted years of service at Corpus Christi Catholic Church where she was an extraordinary minister, adoration volunteer, manager for the St. Vincent de Paul food bank and manager for the gift shop. She lived a life focused on faith and family. She is preceded in death by her mother Cora Ellen Davis Harrell, father Eugene Jessie Harrell, first husband Jerry Picaso, sister Sylvia Starkey and step-children Stephen Cote and Carol Uhlich. She is survived by her husband AJ Cote, daughters Tammy Picaso, Terresia Baxter (husband Ben), Jerrie Scruggs (husband Carey) and Maria Picaso, step-children Denise Cote McMillan, David Cote (wife Jean), Joseph Cote (wife Donna), sisters Annette Venable and Mary Jane Griffis and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made out to St. Vincent de Paul Society in Barbara Cote's name. Checks to St. Vincent de Paul Society can be mailed to St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church 3200 Brooks Dr SW, Snellville, GA 30078 or you can make an online donation through the Church's website at OSV Hub.
