EUNICE HACKNEY Obituary

Eunice Winters Hackney of Dacula passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011. Her parents, James and Maude Winters preceded her. Surviving husband, James E. Hackney, brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Murl Winters, son, Charles and daughter-in-law, Karen Carlan, daughter, Rita Miller, seven grandchildren. Eunice gifted life a great attitude, and life gave back to Eunice opportunities. Developed bears for HIV baby's - Neo Natal Ward, The Grady Hospital. Caps for cancer. Personalized trips to Disney for underprivileged children. She attended classes: Emory/Oglethorpe/Massey. Affiliations: 1. President North Fulton Women's Golf Assoc. 2. President Rainbow Travelers 3. Member Dixie Drifters 4. President GSA of National Campers and Hikers Assoc. 5. Led 200-mile seacoast bicycle rides 6. Peachtree Road Race 7. Ice Hikers/Appalachian Trail 8. Volunteer – Dept. Natural Resources. ***** The walk of her life found pride, fascination and warmth in her role as a Realtor/Builder/Developer/Designer. People networks vested with respect and fascination were her comfort. God was an always a force to her. A private graveside service was held in Buford, GA for family on February 2, 2011.
