Sylvia Dickinson Obituary

Sylvia Baker Dickinson, age 81, went to be with our Heavenly Father in the evening of Friday, May 27, 2022.



Sylvia was born on December 31, 1940 in Birmingham, Alabama to Roy Hugo Baker and Florrie Mae Baker. She attended Woodlawn High School and Auburn University.

She was married to her high school sweetheart, John Edward Dickinson Jr. Together they raised three children. She was a faithful Christian and a devoted wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Dickinson Jr. Survivors include her three children, Andrea (Rick) Harris of Cumming, Georgia, Michael (Carrie) Dickinson of Winder, Georgia, and David (Amy) Dickinson of White, Georgia, and her sister, Janet (Wallace) Sheely, of Biloxi, Mississippi, and her 7 grandchildren.

A private Celebration of Life Service will be held for the immediate family. In memory of Sylvia B. Dickinson, please make a memorial donation to the National Alzheimer's Association @alz.org or call 1-800-272-3900.
