First, my sincere condolences to Walter's family. Walter was one of several pharmacists trained in or otherwise associated with a pharmacology professor at the University of Mississippi who was trying to funnel outstanding pharmacists to become DOs at then KCCOM in Kansas City, MO. His idea was to increase the number of family medicine physicians in Mississippi and the South in general. It worked!

I was a classmate of Walter and admired him for his personal character and impressive knowledge of Pharmacology. He was a joy to get to know and work with in DO school. I am sorry for your loss of him this August.
