Family-Placed Obituary

CANTER, Albert David Age 84, of Middletown, died Friday, October 8, 2004, at The Gables at Middletown. He was born in Middletown on April 18, 1920 to parents Albert Benjamin and Martha (Allen) Canter. Mr. Canter served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for Sears as a manager in hardware, and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Canter is survived by a daughter, Catherine (Bob) Horne of Middletown; a son, Don (Brenda) Canter of Trenton; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Taulbee) Canter in June 2001; his parents; three brothers, Harold Canter, Eddie Canter, and Joe Canter; a sister, Mary Reichter; and a great granddaughter, Emily Walton. Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 11, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., with Dr. Howard Sears officiating. Visitation will be Monday, prior to the service, from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Vitas Hospice Foundation, 11500 North Lake Dr., Suite 400, Cincinnati, OH 45249 - OR - American Heart Assoc., Ohio Valley Affiliate, P.O.
