HULL, Jr., Alexander Dr. Alexander Hull, 87, longtime resident of Durham NC died October 3rd in Hamilton OH with his family nearby. His wife of 60+ years Anne Thistlethwaite Hull, passed away last year. He is survived by sons David Hull and John Hull. Alex was a French and romance languages professor at Duke University for over 25 years prior to his retirement. Alex enjoyed birds, flowers, and walks in the Duke Forest. Alex was a true intellectual, with interest in language development, science, archaeology, history, weather, and current events.
