Alice Ton Obituary
News Death Notice
TON, Alice Age 100, of Hamilton, died June 17, 2010 at Westover Retirement Community. She was born on September 29, 1909 in Oxford, Ohio the daughter of Marion and Louise (Leggatt) Hardy. She married Cornelius "Jake" Ton on August 26, 1939 in Hamilton, Ohio and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1986. She was employed as a salesperson at Robinson Schwenn and Liefheit's Shoes on High Street. She retired in 1996 as a demo person for products at Kroger on Erie Blvd. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Spadafora of Lakeland, Florida and Loretta Turner and husband Frank of Houston, Texas; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers and four sisters. Funeral service will be Monday, June 21, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 NW Washington Blvd., Hamilton, Ohio with Dr. John H. H. Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, June 20, from 2-4:00 pm at the funeral home. Online condolences are available at www.weigelfuneralhome.com

Aunt Alice - I will always treasure our visits together. You had the best laugh of anyone I know! I will miss you more than you can imagine. Thank you for being such a wonderful person and role model. The photo is from my last visit with you at home before you moved to Westover.

During my junior and senior years in High School I worked for Alice at Robinson Schwenn 1945&1946, she was a lovely lady. In later years I took my litte daughter to her for shoes.
