WOLTERING, Amanda ''G.G.'' (Haid) Age 91 of Hamilton passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospice Unit on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 5:30 AM. She was born in Hamilton on July 13, 1914 the daughter of Michael and Josephine (Trebenski) Bonekowski. Amanda was a 1932 graduate of Notre Dame High School, was a guard on the basketball team, and kept in touch with her former classmates over the years. She was the co-owner and operator of Crystal Dry Cleaners for 30 years, retiring in 1967. Amanda was a member of the K of C #968 Auxiliary, volunteer at the Mercy Hospital of Hamilton gift shop for 30 years, a member of the Hamilton Co-operative Service League, and a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. She was a very social person who enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and loved to entertain friends and family. On April 5, 1935 she married Ralph Haid, who preceded her in death in 1942. On November 30, 1946 in Hamilton, she married Clarence Woltering, who preceded her in death in 1993. She is survived by her daughter, Harriet Mulcahy and her fiance Shawn Mayer of Oak Park, Illinois; one sister, Josephine Wolner of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Deborah (Gary) Ripperger of Hamilton and Robert (Kathy) Boyd of Overland Park, Kansas; four great-grandchildren, including devoted great-granddaughter Harriette Bloomer, Colleen Boyd, Allison Boyd, and Maggie Boyd; two great-great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Lilly; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Harry, Thomas, Nicholas, and Fred; and one sister, Freda Traverse. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 10 AM with Fr. Tim Bunch, Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 6:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church or to Badin High School.

Aunt Amanda was truly a beautiful and unique person. I will remember her for her generosity of heart and seemingly endless energy. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
