News Death Notice

BREMER, Carrie E. age 92 of Middletown, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009, at her residence. She was born June 11, 1917, in Pittsburg, PA to Fredrick William and Hanah (Clemens) Harris. She had a Degree in Education from Otterbein College and was a high school teacher and a homemaker. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church of Franklin, OH, where she was active in the Agape Sunday School Class and served on many church committees. She was a Past Worthy Matron with Easter Star Processor Chapter of Middletown and was active in the Lions Club Women's Auxiliary and the Women's Auxiliary of the Middletown Pee Wee Football Club. She is preceded in death by her husband in 1992, Dr. Louis H. Bremer; parents and step-mother, Lois Harris; brother, William T. Harris and infant sister, Thelma Harris. Carrie is survived by her sons, Dr. Dan (Regina) Bremer of Middletown, OH, Dr. Don (Diane) Bremer of Columbus, OH, Dr. Dav (Debby) Bremer of Centerville, OH and Dal (Janet) Bremer of North Canton, OH; grandchildren, Ben (Abby) Bremer, Bill (Kate) Bremer, Katie (Steve) Nauman, Emily (Tim) Hess, Jane Bremer, Maggie Bremer, Matt (Jen) Bremer, Carrie (David) Oglesby and Jennie Mae Bremer; great grandchildren, Nicole Cranford, Audrey Bremer, Henry Bremer, Ally Bremer, Cooper Oglesby; sister-in-law, Esther Harris of Pittsburg, PA; cousin, Henry Lauth of Middletown and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, September 24, 2009, at 9:30 AM at Hope United Methodist Church of Franklin, OH, with Pastor Daniel Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope United Methodist Church, 3642 Shaker Rd., Franklin, OH 45005. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.baker-stevens.com.
