Family-Placed Obituary
ERNST, Clare (Bastian) 79, of Harborside passed away Sept. 18, 2007. Born in Hamilton OH. She raised her family in Dayton, OH. until retirement to Florida with her husband Charles Ernst who preceded her in death after 46 years of marriage. Also preceding in death was her eldest daughter Kathleen. Survived by her loving companion of 12 ½ years Donald Robinson; sons, Robert, Michael Ernst; daughters, Charlene Smith, Jerilyn Ernst; seven grandchildren, Danielle, Woody, Noah, Emily, Andy, Max & Erica; four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Nathan, Dan & Olivia Clare. A memorial mass will be held at St. John's Vianney Catholic Church St. Pete Beach, FL on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Family will receive guest at the church after mass. Don, Carol Ann and I were so sorry to hear of Clare's passing. We have such fond memories of her. Carol Ann enjoyed knowing Clare and they always had a good time at our meetings. My sister Deborah who lives in Florida sent this to me. I'm Clare's niece, the daughter of Alfred Ernst. I send my prayers to you Don and only wish I could have met my Aunt Clare. I would like to renew the family ties with her children, who I remember when I too lived in Hamilton before my parents parted path.

When I saw the name in the paper I did some checking and found out that Claire was my Aunt and she held me when I was baby during my baptism. I'm sorry I didn't get to know her. My prayers are with her family. (My father is Alfred Ernst)

I have known Clare for 12 years now. She was a lovely lady and I know she is with the Lord. She would come to AATCC events with Don Robinson who adored her. My prayers are with the family at this time.
