I can't believe Dave's been gone 15 years! We had lost touch with each other after our high school days having taken different paths in our professional work. However during high school, we had some great times and I remember traveling to Milwaukee with him in 1967 by train visiting his relatives "The William Tabler" family; he and I along with Bolivian exchange student Roberto Montano Medina went to Chicago with my family celebrating our 1969 graduation. Dave was a very talented painter and also had created a life sized statue of "Saul". He will forever be missed!

I remember seeing and spending some good times with David as a Badin High pal back in the sixties. Hanging out at his home on High Street, traveling to Milwaukee by train in 1967 to visit his uncle (William Tabler family) and the Expo 67 trip to Montreal were especially fun times. I remember my father drove us to Chicago right after we graduated high school & we enjoyed touring the fabulous Fields Museum. David was a talented artist and my mother treasured a statue of Saul he had created & also had a western sunset painting hanging in our dining room on Vinnedge Ct. in Fairfield. After graduation, our paths went separate ways. I went on to college at Miami while David went to the Cincinnati Art Academy. I did visit him once while he was in school there and really enjoyed the experience. After I graduated from college, my life was swept up in the world of TV news camera work, eventually moving to Denver & Los Angeles where I currently reside. Although many years have passed, I never forgot how artistic and sensitive David was and what a great friend he'd been during my teen years. I'll never forget him.

David was a loving and devoted partner to Jay, a good friend, and a hardworking, generous, kind human being. Beneath that quiet demeanor, he was funny, charming, and passionate about opera. We will greatly miss him.
Our sincere sympathy to his family.
