SHELLHOUSE, David A. Age 61, life-long Oxford resident, passed away July 10, 2015. He was born December 15, 1953 in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of Norma (Smith) and Harold "Snook" Shellhouse. He graduated from Talawanda High School in 1972. After high school he studied the printing trade in Florida and began working with his father at the Oxford Printing Company, a family owned business. This business was originally started by his grandfather, M.M. Shellhouse in 1932, the founding publisher of the local newspaper, The Oxford Press. When the business was sold to Paust Printers of Richmond, Indiana in the late 1980s, Dave became the manger of the Oxford branch of Paust Printers serving local residents for many years. Dave was an avid golfer in his younger years, playing high school golf and participating in the state golf tournament. He also played basketball and a baseball and remained a sports fan through out his life. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his sister, Cathie (Warren) Elliott; nephews Jeff and John and niece Casey Elliott; and other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16th beginning at 5:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 6:00pm at the Ogle - Paul R. Young Funeral Home, Oxford.
