News Death Notice

FIEHRER Dorothy M. age 84 of Ross, Ohio died Sunday March 22, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at her residence. She was born on August 15, 1924 in Hamilton, Ohio the daughter of Evan and Marie (Feldman) Herman. She was educated in St. Joseph School and graduated from Notre Dame High School. On January 9, 1947 in St. Mary Church she married Paul George Fiehrer and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1987. Dorothy and Paul purchased the Venice Pavilion in 1947 and operated the business for many years until Paul's death. She is survived by her children Paulette Fiehrer, Jim (Marilyn) Fiehrer, Connie (Ted) Chaney, Greg (Pam) Fiehrer, Jan (Debbie) Fiehrer and Bill (Cathy) Fiehrer; grandchildren Paul Fiehrer, Nicole Fiehrer, Chris (Renee) Fiehrer, Emily Fiehrer, Jacob Chaney, Shannon (Mike) Schneider, Jeremy (Jami) Chaney, Kim (Chris) Vilardo, Jason Fiehrer, Ryan Fiehrer, Justin Fiehrer, Kelly Watkins, Jessica (Josh) Abner, Jana (Clint) Emmons, Jennifer (Greg) Sparks, Jeanette (Nick) George and Amanda Fiehrer; great-grandchildren Jackson, Ava, Cooper, Spencer, Brody, J.D., Donovan, Brayden, Carsyn, Noah, Makaylie, Saige and Adalynn; cousin Margie Koert. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Jarrod "BoBo" Chaney, great-grandson Avery Fiehrer, brothers Joe Herman and Robert Herman. Prayers will be Thursday March 26, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home 3950 Pleasant Ave. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann Church. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until time of prayers at the funeral home. Remembrances may be sent to Badin High School Scholarship Fund or the Pfirman Center in her memory. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to her caregivers Debby Dean, Karen Mellon, Dorothy Lamb, Stephanie Conerly and Bonita Reed for their excellent care of Dorothy. I was sad to hear about Dorothy. She was such a good wife and mother. I have so many good memories of time spent at her house with Paulette and dances for the "teens" on Sunday afternoons at the Pavilion. With six kids of her own, she easily made room for one more! I know you will miss her.
