Family-Placed Obituary
PHILLIPS, Geneva (nee: Scott) Age 75 of Lebanon, died Saturday, May 12, 2007. Born May 17, 1931 in Lebanon, OH to Floyd and Minel (nee: McGill) Scott, Sr. she was a lifetime member and church clerk of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Lebanon. Geneva was an incredible mother, a loyal and loving wife, supportive grandmother, a caring sister and aunt. She was the true definition of the word "friend". She never met a stranger, had an incredible zest and love for life and will be missed beyond what words can express. Preceded in death by her parents, son, David R. Phillips, brothers, David, Roger, Herschel, Sr. and Fred Scott and her sister, Jean Scott, survivors include her loving and dedicated husband of 57 years, Willie Phillips, of Lebanon, daughter, Denita A. Daniels (Ray) of Tuscaloosa, AL, granddaughter, Renita of Tuscaloosa, AL, grandsons, Tyrone, Raymond, Tramain and LaDarius of Cleveland, OH, sisters, Lucille Smith, Judy Dews and Myra Young all of Lebanon, brothers, Floyd Scott, Jr. and Donnie Scott both of Lebanon, and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be held Friday, May 18, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon with Reverend John Wright officiating. Inurnment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery.
