News Death Notice

GOODPASTER, Guy H. age 62 of Middletown passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Franklin Ridge Nursing Home. Guy was born on May 21, 1946 in Owingsville, KY the son of the late Eckman and Maxine (Nealis) Goodpaster. He is survived by his wife Jodie, sons Guy (Loretta) Goodpaster, Duane (Tonna) Goodpaster both of Middletown grandchildren Kodie, Julia, Destiny Goodpaster, Michael Irnwine, Zach Irwine, 2 brothers and 8 sisters, numinous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday August 14, 2008 at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home 29 N. Main St. Germantown Burial Butler Co. Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 9:30 a.m. -11:30a.m. Thursday (1 hr. prior to funeral service) at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.arpprootfh.com.

I met Guy a few years back, had not seen him for a long time. I was born in Owingsville, Ky on June 23 1946 and our fathers are cousins. I am sorry I did not know about his passing, I would have been there.

We are so sorrry to hear about your brother.Haven't seen him for a long time but we all had so much fun in the past. Him and Billy was a joy to be with or just sat and watch. He was a good person. My Mother Zelma used to babyset for Guy & Dwayne & I grew up with them in our earlier years. My deepest sympathy for your loss, God Bless & bring you comfort in your hour of need. Guy is reunited with my Mother now, I can hear them laughing together as they always did.
