Family-Placed Obituary


NAGALA, Gwen Thacker Age 60, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Vitas Hospice at Fort Hamilton Hospital, Hamilton, Ohio. She was born on December 16, 1946 in Middlesboro, KY the daughter of Jack and Geraldine Thacker. She lived in the Reily community since 1960 and graduated from Reily High School in 1965. On June 14, 1965 she was wed to Ron Nagala and they enjoyed 42 loving years together. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, James Nagala and mother-in-law, Virginia Nagala. She is survived by her husband Ron; her parents, Jack and Geraldine; father-in-law, Wesley Nagala; sisters, Nelda (Darrell) Lohrey, Susan (John) Donohue, Marty (Paul) Boggs; brothers, Ken (Donna) Thacker, Perry (Kathy) Thacker; 4 nieces, 9 nephews; 13 grandnieces and grandnephews; and many other relatives and friends. The family will received friends 5:00PM-8:00PM on Wednesday, February 28 at the Weigel Funeral Home, 980 NW Washington Blvd., Hamilton. Funeral service will be held 10:00AM Thursday, March 1 at the funeral home with her nephew, Pastor Shawn Baker of Faith Temple Church, Middlesboro, KY, presiding. The burial will follow at the Springdale Cemetery in Reily, Ohio. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank all the medical staff at McCullough-Hyde Hospital, Christ Hospital, and Vitas Hospice at Fort Hamilton Hospital.
