Harriet Ingram Obituary


News Death Notice

INGRAM, Harriet M. Age 82, of Hamilton, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at The Woodlands of Hamilton. She was born August 10, 1928 in Hamilton, the daughter of Harry and Alma (Smith) Hochenberger. She was a 1946 graduate of Trenton High School. She married William R. Ingram on August 5, 1950 in Hamilton and he preceded her in death on August 14, 2010. She began her career with Ohio Casualty in the 1950's and then founded Ingram Insurance Agency, Inc. in 1962. She retired in 1993 and then worked part time with her sons. She was a long time member of First St. John United Church of Christ. She was active in the choraliers and the Thespian Club in high school and continued on with school activities as a parent in the PTA. Harriet was past president of the Butler County Independent Insurance Agents, a member of the Liberty Home Association and an avid card player. She is survived by three sons, Rick Ingram and wife Debbie of Seven Mile, Steve Ingram and wife, Judith of Hanover Township and Scott Ingram of Fairfield; five grandchildren, Brian, Jason, Lori, Michael Ingram and Ashley Fromme and one great grandson, Benjamin Ingram. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Joe Hochenberger and two sisters, Esther Mae Wheeler and Carol Jane Kinkaid. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Rev. Ted Loman officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until time of the service. Memorials may be directed to the American Alzheimer's Association, 644 Linn Street, Suite 1026, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203. John will never forget the kindness Harriet showed to his Mother, Marie. Harriet was the rock of the family. I will always remember Harriet as an elegant, beautiful woman who was a fabulous hostess. She loved her family so much.
