News Death Notice
RUCKER, Ina age 95 of Hamilton, passed away at Woodland Country Manor on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 2:15AM. She was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on August 14, 1917 to Marion and Ella (Rector) Sparks. Ina was employed at Miami University for 30 years and retired in 1990. She was also member of Somerville Pentecostal Church for many years. She is survived by three sons; Franklin (Betty) Rucker, Roscoe (Sue) Rucker, and Rick Rucker; a daughter, Clair (Richard)Plessinger; two brothers, Ray (Hazel) Sparks and Leonard (Mildred) Sparks; a sister; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Rucker; two brothers, Joe Sparks and Garrett Sparks; three sisters, Nola Kendrick, Edith Conn, Helen Watkins; and a grandson Lloyd Rucker. Funeral service will be held at Somerville Pentecostal Church on Tuesday January 8th 2013 at 2:00 PM with Riley Parker of Somerville Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will follow at Somerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 - 2:00PM at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to Woodland Country Manor, 4166 Somerville Road, Somerville, Ohio 45064. Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com.

Sorry to hear about the death of your mother. My parents were Everett and Hazel Steele and our families go back many, many years. My dad passed in June, 1983 and mom passed in April, 2010 at the wonderful age of 99. It doesn't make any difference how old they are, you still miss them. Our family wishes to extend our deepest sympathy to each of you. It's wonderful to know she is now walking on the streets of gold.

To the Rucker family: Sorry to hear about the death of your mother. You will not remember me but my mom and dad was Everett & Hazel Steele and, of course, we were from a big family. My dad passed away in June, 1983 and mom passed away in April, 2010 at the wonderful age of 99. Still miss both of them. Our family did want to express their deepest sympathy to the entire family since we have know each other for many, many years. May God bless each and every one of you.

Our sympathy to all of the family. My father,Fred, and Ina were cousins and I've heard my dad talk about uncle Marion. My brother is still in Hamilton. May the Lord comfort you during this time of sorrow.
