News Death Notice

WILEY, Jack L. of Oxford, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at age 85. Mr. Wiley was born on June 6, 1927 to Hazel and Louis Wiley in Hamilton, Ohio. Mr. Wiley enlisted in the Navy while attending Hanover High School, graduating in 1945. Mr. Wiley spent the remainder of W. W. II aboard the USS Bladen in the Pacific Theater. Upon his return Mr. Wiley worked in management in the electrical construction industry in Hamilton, Oxford and the surrounding areas before retiring after 41 years in 1989. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Donges) whom he married on August 2, 1951 in Hamilton, Ohio. Mr. Wiley is also survived by four children; Diana (Dean) DiPaolo of Oxford, Ohio, Denise (Daryl) Olthaus of Somerville, Ohio, Michael Wiley of Cincinnati, Ohio and Daniel Wiley of Oxford, Ohio along with grandchildren Kristen (Robert) Fries, Laura Peters, Maggie Olthaus, Kaitlin Wiley, Chelsea Wiley, Megan Wiley and Heather Wiley and great grandchildren Julia and Owen Fries. Mr. Wiley was a lifetime member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Darrtown, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with services at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Weigel Funeral Home 980 N W Washington Blvd Hamilton, OH, Ohio. Burial will follow at the Darrtown cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Matthew Lutheran Church 4411 Smokey Alston Hwy, Oxford, OH 45056.
