Family-Placed Obituary


BRANDENBURG, James F. Age 83, of Hamilton, died at home August 18, 2004 from cancer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice; his parents; two sons, Greg and Mike; a grandson, Billy Minor; a sister, Cleta Piercy; a brother Jack Brandenburg and a son-in-law, Bradley Cason. He was a veteran of WWII , serving in the European Theater, retired from Kroger and he was a Buckeye Baptist Builder. He was a member of Richmond Road Baptist Church and the church choir. He loved fishing and spending time with his family and his special grandson, Sebastian Michael Mooney. He leaves his daughter, Lisa Mooney, whom he loved dearly and who cared for him for many years; daughters, Beverly Cason of Knotts Island, North Carolina, Patricia Brickner of Hamilton and Sharon Turner of Fairfield; grandchildren, Amber Mooney and fiancée, Jamie Marcum, Mike (Heather) Mooney all of Hamilton, Jeffry Abrams of North Carolina, Melina (Steve) Buttery, Pam (Bobby) Isaacs, Brian (Holly) Turner and Eric Turner; great grandchildren, Brady and Chase Turner, Josh McWhorter, Amy Hagar, Justin Buttery and Sebastian Michael Mooney and great, great grandchildren, Chance Hagar and Chase Morgan. The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Mark Howard and staff, Dr. Michael Cohen and staff and to Brian and Pam at Vitas Hospice. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 23, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Rev. Paul Tillett and Rev. Ted Loman officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 22 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Richmond Road Baptist Church Building Fund, 2170 Hamilton Richmond Highway, Hamilton, OH 45013. The family will receive visitors at the Richmond Road Baptist Church social hall after the funeral.
