Family-Placed Obituary
LUCAS, Jerry "Mark" Age 88, passed away April 9, 2007 at Village Care Center in Erlanger, KY. Mark had lived in Middletown for most of his life. He was born July 17, 1918 in Pike County, KY to Jeremiah and Delia (Pigman) Lucas. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Mark worked as a pressman for Diamond National for 30 years. He was a member of Yankee Rd. First Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Virgie Lucas; infant son, Paul Eugene Lucas; 3 brothers; 4 sisters. Mark is survived by his wife, Imogene Lucas; sons, Jerry (Cheri) Lucas of California and Roy (Beverly) Lucas of Erlanger, KY; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother. Visitation will be Saturday, April 14, 2007 from 12:00 noon until the Celebration of Life service at 2:00 at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Williams officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family @ www.baker-stevens.com

Just want to express my sadness when I learned about your Father's passing. I will always remember your Mother when she lived on Hughes Street. I was very young, but she always was so kind to me and my Mother (Helen Campbell). Please accept my deepest sympathy.

My Mother was a very good friends of your Mother, Jean. She still sits and talks about the "times" when you were with the Royals. I met you when I was very small and when you remarried and was going to start the school in CA. I know My Mother, Betty has very fond memories of your Father and Mother. We were just talking about you all the other day. Please except my sympathy and the sympathy of my Mother, Betty Long (1957)

MY PRAYERS AND CONDOLENCES GO OUT TO JEAN, JERRY, ROY AND ALL THE LUCAS FAMILY. MARK AND THE LUCAS FAMILY WILL ALWAYS BE PART OF ME. HAVING KNOWN MARK AND BEEN PART OF SOME HAPPY AND SAD TIMES TOGETHER. I WAS HAPPY THAT I GOT SEE JEAN AND MARK AT CHRISTMAS TIME. THEY BOTH SEEMED VERY HAPPY WHERE THEY LIVED.
