Dear Donna & family,
We extend to all of you our deepest sympathy on the death of JB. I remember playing the music for his dad's funeral at St. Mary's many years ago, when orgainist there. We used to bring our son, Mike over to play with your son, John on many occasions. It is so difficult and a real Cross to lose a loved one and especially at this special time of the year, the Easter Season. We buried our son, David at age 40 in April, 2000 on Tuesday of Holy Week. So we have some idea what pain you hold in your hearts. As the years have passed by for us, we look to this beautiful springtime with renewed hope knowing that our son is safely home and celebrate each Easter with this memory and it has become Sacred and special to us. May we leave you with a thought from St. Bernard: "Like a tree in spring, the Cross has burst into flower, the Cross on which the Lord of Glory hung." May this Cross you now bear become a new springtime of hope for you in the months and years ahead so that you too may celebrate this season of Hope in a very special way each year. You are in our thoughts and most certainly in our prayers.
Compassionately,
