POORE, Laura L. Age 85, of Ross, Ohio passed away on March 4, 2015 at Shawneespring in Harrison, surrounded by family. She was born on March 24, 1929 in Benham, Kentucky, the daughter of Cecil and Maude (Sellers) Guinn. She graduated from Benham High School and attended Southern Ohio Business College. On July 8, 1946, she married Navy Veteran Fred Poore in Benham, Kentucky and he preceded her in death in 1991. She was a hard worker and held many different jobs during her lifetime. She was employed as a dental assistant in Kentucky, a bookkeeper for Tragesser Ford in Ross and for High Street Auto Parts, a school bus driver for Ross Local Schools and a sales clerk at Ross IGA and later at Walmart. Laura was a member of Ross Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter Melissa (Mickey) Staarmann; three grandchildren, Morgan, Martin, and Madison Staarmann; one great grandchild, Tyler Rhodes; a sister in law, Mickie Guinn and other loving relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert "Buck" Guinn and Conrad Guinn. Visitation will be held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, Ohio on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m. A private interment will take place in Venice Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Our Family Home in Blue Ash, Shawneesprings and Hospice of Cincinnati for their loving care.
