Family-Placed Obituary


HAYRE, Loretta (Murray) After a good fight, and much prayer, the battle she endured with cancer ended Monday, March 5, 2007. Though we are sorely grieved over our loss, we also rejoice, for we know the promises of God are true. It is well with our souls.....Loretta was born on the December 23, 1944, given by God to her parents, Blevins "Brownie" and Bertha (Cowans) Murray. She was employed at Art Technologies. Left behind are many loved ones, including daughters, Tonya Witt and Linda Meyers Cole; sons David Scott and James Land; her mother, Bertha Murray, all residing in Hamilton along with husband, wives, children, grandchildren, and all our many cousins and close family friends, brothers include William (Teresa) Murray, James Murray, Ben (Tammy) Murray, Ron (Cornelia) Murray, and Bobby (Linda) Murray; sisters Linda (Larry) Marcum and Candy Murray; and close friend and pastor, Brother Patrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Land; father, Blevins Murray; and her oldest son, Daniel Land; and sister-in-law, Nancy Murray. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, March 9, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Wilma Saylor of Rivers of Life Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. www.browndawson.com

Loretta you are wrapped in the arms of Jesus.You did your suffering here on earth.You went thru some tuff times on this earth but you never gave up. You were a very special and strong Lady.You had a great love for your children and your family. I feel very blessed to have known you.Hope to see you again some day
