News Death Notice
HETTERICH, Marc Joseph Age 80 of Hamilton, passed away at Westover Retirement Community on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 7:25 PM. He was born in Hamilton on December 21, 1935 the son of Ralph and Bertha (Schatt) Hetterich. Marc was a 1953 graduate of Hamilton Catholic. On December 26, 1955 at St. Ann's Catholic Church he married his high school sweetheart, Florence Fischer. Marc was employed by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board for thirty years. After his retirement he worked for Matandy Steel as a groundskeeper. He was a long time member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He is survived by by his wife, Florence A. Hetterich; eight children, Mickie (Mark) Brown, Marcie (Greg) Fitzwater, Melanie (Chuck) Roesch, Marianne (Mitch) Magee, Monica (David) Plotka, Marc Jr. "Joe" (Lisa) Hetterich, Maria (Dan) Jeffers, and Matthew (Nikki) Hetterich; twenty-one grandchildren, Eric (Elizabeth), Andy (Lori), Kevin (Katie) and Eddie Brown, Laura (Dominic) Franchini, Ben (Pam), Greg (Robin), Matt (Jamiee) Roesch, Marc, Patrick and John Magee, Hannah and Henry Plotka, Jimmy and Marcie Hetterich, Clayton, Nathan, and Janie Jeffers, Samantha, Johnathan, and Christopher Hetterich; ten great grandchildren, Anna and Abbi Brown, Brynn, Dylan, and Harper Brown, Ollie and Julia Brown, Luke, Will and Eli Franchini and one on the way; two siblings, Bertha Ann (John) Vilkoski and Howard (Peggy) Hetterich; one sister-in-law, Joan Rosebrook; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings, Mary Hetterich, Martha Flatt, Ruth Arnold, Marian Cisle, and Roy Hetterich. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 9:00 AM with Father James Wedig, Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to Badin High School, 571 New London Road, Hamilton, 45013 or Westover c/o Colonial, 230 Ludlow Street, Hamilton, 45011.

I just loved your Dad. I have so many wonderful memories of being at your house while growing up. The picture of him on the tractor captures it all. He loved his yard as much as his sister Marian did. I bet they are sharing gardening tips as I write :)

Our sympathy to the Hetterich Family, a wonderful family and such an asset to Hamilton & Millville, OH. We are in Florida and unable to attend the funeral. Many, many wonderful memories of Mark, Flo and their great 'M.J.' children. Rest in peace, Marc.

Jack and Marc worked together many years out here a QP for the finances and as you know we are all Notre Dame and Catholic High School graduates. We will be praying for the family now and in the months ahead as your make your journey through grief.
