Miriam KRAMER Obituary
News Death Notice
KRAMER (nee Jackson), Miriam Age 71, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, January 1, 2016, with her daughter Katie by her side, at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born April 21, 1944 to Bertha (Antonovich) Jackson and Dr. James Jackson. Miriam was a graduate of Miami University and completed her Masters of Education at Xavier University. She taught elementary education in the Hamilton City School District for 35 years and was an active member in Delta Kappa Gamma. Miriam was an avid volunteer within the community, tutoring local children, delivering Meals on Wheels and cooking for local organizations. She will be truly missed by friends and family. She is survived by her mother, Bertha Jackson; her husband Paul Kramer; daughter Katie (John) Strosnider; son Jeff (Lisa) Kramer and her beloved grandchildren Carson Kramer and Jack and Jenna Strosnider; also survived by many dear friends. Miriam is preceded in death by her father Dr. James Jackson. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Park Avenue United Methodist Church, 801 Park Avenue in Hamilton on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11AM with visitation beginning at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Hamilton or Animal Friends Humane Society.

I just found out about Mim's passing. I am so sorry to hear such tragic news. She was such a good lady and friend. I live in Indiana now and do not keep up with all like I should. I have such fond memories of her and her endless care for others. She will be greatly missed by many. My warmest condolences to her family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs. Kramer's passing. She was my third grade teacher in '98. What a wonderful woman, I will always remember her fondly. She was a great educator and an awesome role model. I'm glad I got to have her as part of my life. My thoughts are to her family.

There are no words for the loss we feel. Miriam was the consummate daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. We met in college and continued our friendship through the years. Each time I moved, I could count on Miriam visiting. The last time she and her mother were in San Francisco, we trudged the hills till we were ready to drop! On my return trips to Ohio, we regaled each other with photos and stories of our families and latest adventures. Though miles apart, Miriam was a cherished part of my life, and for that I am grateful. Rest in peace, my friend!

Miriam and I grew up in the same neighborhood. It was a wonderful area with a woods nearby- and a creek on the other side of our homes-just perfect for kids. We had so much fun playing games and just having fun. Miriam was always such a calm, happy person. I was so blessed to have such great friend.

My condolences to her family. Mrs. Kramer was my 3rd grade teacher, and by far, my most memorable. She was sweet and kind, but most of all, made learning fun. She will be dearly missed.
