News Death Notice
BORIIN, Peter 76, beloved husband of 52 years of Patti (nee Demers) Boriin, devoted dad of Pete (Ellen) Boriin and Patrice (Jason) Pieratt, loving grandpa of Abby Pieratt, Nick Boriin, Ben Pieratt, Charlie Roach and Meredith Roach, son of the late Oscar and Maude Boriin, brother of the late Robert, Roy and Ralph Boriin and Betty Aldworth. Passed away May 29, 2014. Peter enjoyed a long career in the paper industry. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, camping, and attending sporting events. Peter traveled with his family and friends claiming Maui and McCarthy Beach as his favorite vacation spots. He was most proud of his grandchildren, who were the light of his life and would attend all of their functions from sporting events to band concerts. Visitation will be held Monday, June 2 6-8 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Rd., Mason, OH 45040. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9080 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd., West Chester, OH 45069. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chisholm Community Foundation, 4 S.W. 3rd Ave., Chisholm, MN 55719 or to Univ. of Minnesota Foundation- Mechanical Engineering, 200 Oak St. S.E., Suite 500, Minneapolis, MN 55455. The Boriin Family--Peter was my classmate in Chisholm, Minnesota and we graduated together in 1955--along with about 100 others.I remember him as a quiet, intelligent person. I'm wondering what his heath problems were. Our class in dwindling down and I'm sad to read about Peter's passing. My caring thoughts go to you, Patty and Family.

To the Boriin family,
I worked for Peter for several years in Champion's Corporate Engineering group, and considered him to be not only a good boss but a fine professional and friend. Never losing his temper, he helped guide this young engineer through many tough projects. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.

Patty and Family,
Just wanted to express my condolences to you during this time of loss. I worked with Peter at Champion back in the 1980's when I was first starting out in the paper industry.
Peter was my first boss at Champion and helped to make sure that I got off to a good start in this industry. He took a special interest In making sure that I got the right type of experiences to grow and learn this business and be successful. He was a good guy and great first boss and dedicated to helping those of us that worked for him.
