Ralph CECIL Obituary
News Death Notice
CECIL, Ralph B. age 77, of Middletown, Ohio passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Campus where he had resided for 1 ½ years. He was born June 18, 1937 in Middletown and lived here all his life. Ralph served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was employed as a bander in the Hot Strip Department at Armco Steel, before retiring. He was a member of the Faith Pentecostal Church of Hamilton, Ohio. Preceding him in death were his parents, Benjamin G. and Rosa E. (Shrout) Cecil; his wife, Myrna Faye Cecil in 2012; son Todd W. Cecil; grandson, Joshua Bradley Cecil; and two brothers Robert and Jimmy Cecil. He is survived by four children, Ralph A. (Rebecca) Cecil, Shawn (Donnie) Edmonds, Jonathan D. (Tara) Cecil, and Thomas A. Cecil; seven grandchildren, Miranda (John) Weaks, Rachel Barnett, Cory (Holly) Manning, Destiny Cecil, Tommy Cecil, Tyler Little and Taylor Cecil; four great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, May 5, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown. Middletown Combined Honor Guard will follow visitation with a military service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral service with Pastor Rick Witt officiating. Private interment at the convenience of the family at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Ohio. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.
