I,remember the last thing that my dad told me,(I love you and I will see you later.)My dad was one not to tell you he loved you even know you knew he did,and that ment more to me than anything in this world.Let me tell you a couple of stories about my dad,he loved playing pool, and he came to my house to play with me,and he told me,he was going to school me in the game, and so I let him win to make him happy, but back in the day he would of kicked my butt, hands down.He was a good man and he never met a stranger, like when he met my husband,he called him chicken legs,I don't know why but that's what he called him.He told my brother in law, that he could float on water with his legs crossed,so my brother in law tried it,and about drowned his self, and my dad laughed and laughed at him till he almost was crying.Dad like to pull pranks on people,he liked to make people laugh. He is going to be missed dearly, but know he will be with my mom in heaven, and the rest of his family too.I love you dad,and I will see you soon.

My grandpa always told me never to forget who I was and where I came from....and growing up as a neighbor next door to the Bates family and having some strong roots with them....proved that what grandpa had said was true...Years later.I would see Ray in the grocery or around town in Hamilton and he never forgot to remind me of some sort of story of my childhood days that will always be near and dear to me...So glad that the good Lord brought our paths together again just a few short months ago where we had fellowship together in the house of the Lord .....I pray for the dear Lord to wrap His loving arms around your family and comfort them...Rest in peace Ray.
