News Death Notice
BOWMAN, Sheridan age 74 of Springboro, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. He was born in New Miami to Sheridan and Lola (Cox) Bowman. Sheridan was employed at the City of Hamilton for 31 years. He is survived by his children Sherilynn Davenport, Ernest Bowman, Andy Bowman, Rebecca Bowman, and Dawn Mastascuso; his siblings Gary Bowman, Ernie Bowman, Edna Riley, Joann Bowman, Alece Underwood, Barbie Hazelwood, and Sally Cash; grandchildren Nicholas, Jenna, Emily, Kevin, Madison, Hannah, Tommilynn, Shaughn, and Rhowen; and a great-grandchild Devin. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara (Powell) Bowman; and his siblings; Ronald Bowman, Wayne Bowman, and Lori Bowman. Visitation, Monday, July 21, 2014 from 5-8 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 330 Pershing Ave. Hamilton, 45011. Funeral Service, Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 11 AM, also at the funeral home. Sheridan was a very good person, and I am sure that through his past good deeds he will live on through his inheritors. I believe God has a special place for people like Sheridan Bowman.
When I represented the people of Peck's Addition from 1975-2000, in a quest to regain some of their rights that had been usurped over the past century or more, I ran into Sheridan down there after not seeing him since I was a child and we were able to talk about the Peck's Addition of olde. I had always liked Sheridan and after we talked I thought about our conversation often the next many years. My mother was a Bowman from Owsley County, and I remembered from years before when I was a child that Sheridan and I were related. But then I moved out of the Bottom (Peck's Addition).
