MORYL, Stephen John born December 13,1925, after living through the Great Depression, the Second World War, marriage to a beautiful wife, raising five difficult sons, countless adventures, trials and four years struggling with Alzheimer's Disease, went home Thursday afternoon, September 25,2008. He served God, Country, family and all strangers. Stephen John Moryl left this earth having done God's will at his hometown parish , Sacred Heart of LaPorte, Indiana and at St. Peter in Chains of Hamilton, Ohio. Stephen served his country with the US Army 35th Infantry Division during WW II and was awarded the Purple Heart w/1 Oak Leaf Cluster and the EAME Theater Ribbon w/3 Bronze Stars. He also served his country during the Korean War with the US Air Force. A graduate of Purdue University and the University of Cincinnati, this son of Polish Immigrants, the late Feliz and Sophia Moryl, took the hand of Betty Lou Boggs (since deceased) and raised five surviving sons who with their children continue to share Steve and Betty's gift of caring and giving to others. Survivors include five sons and their families; John Moryl and wife, Tonya (Carrozza) and children, Daniel Moryl and Sophia Moryl, Louis Moryl, Michael "Mickey" Moryl and wife, Sheila (Webb) and children, Angela (Moryl) and husband, Andrew Colvin, Brandon Moryl, Joshual Moryl and Travis Moryl, Thomas Moryl and Lisa Cummins and children, Anthony Moryl and Ryan Cummins and Chester Moryl and daughter, Amber Moryl. " Well done, good and faithful servant." Prayer service 9:15 AM Monday at the Colligan Funeral Home, 437 So. 3rd Street, Hamilton. Mass of the Christian Burial 10:00 AM Monday at St. Peter in Chains Church, Hamilton. Entombment with military services at St. Stephen Cemetery Mausoleum.
