Terry BELDEN Obituary

News Death Notice

BELDEN, Terry B. Ascended to heaven to be with his Heavenly Father and Lord at age 71 on May 11, 2015, at his home in Hamilton, Ohio, surrounded by his family. Terry was born on July 9, 1943, in Defiance, Ohio, to Byron and Bette (Trubey). He graduated from Penncrest High School in Media, Pa. He moved to Hamilton, and there met the love of his life Loretta (Joseph). The couple married May 4, 1963, and enjoyed 52 wonderful years together. They were blessed with two sons who were the loves of their lives and five wonderful grandchildren: Sam, Olivia, Nathan, Andrew, and Elizabeth Belden. Terry always took an interest in the lives of his sons and their families, and spending time with and playing with his grandchildren were some of his greatest enjoyments. He was a faithful and active member of the Laurel Avenue Church of Christ. He loved his Church family, and took part in numerous Church projects and programs. Terry also enjoyed antiquing, visiting flea markets, the camaraderie of playing golf with his sons and friends, and watching basketball. Everyone who knew and met Terry always remarked on his contagious smile, sense of humor, and friendly, loving nature. After a thirty two year long career with the Kroger Company, he retired as a produce manager. Retirement only lasted a short time before he began working with his son Marc at the Detail Dr. in Fairfield, Ohio. Terry officially retired in summer of 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and sister-in-law Mary Belden. Terry is survived by his devoted and loving wife Loretta, sons Todd (Christon), Marc (Lisa), Brother Randy, grandchildren, several cousins, other family members, and his beloved dog Daisy. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the Laurel Avenue Church of Christ, 1049 Laurel Avenue, Hamilton, 45015. A memorial service, officiated by Minister Charles Anderson, will begin at 7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society/Organ Research, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206 or to Hospice of Cincinnati, P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, Ohio 45263. THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield is serving the family. www.websterfuneralhomes.com
