Thomas Leugers Obituary


News Death Notice

LEUGERS, Thomas E. age 60 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 8:15 AM. He was born in Hamilton on July 26, 1949 the son of Adrian and Ethel (Shepherd) Leugers. Thomas was employed as a laborer at Champion Paper for 30 years. On September 23, 1988 in Hamilton, he married Cleta Stevens. He is survived by his wife, Cleta Leugers of Hamilton; three sons, Chester Thomas (Dani) Leugers of Rockwall, Texas, Benjamin Wade (Stephanie) Leugers of Hamilton, and Marshall Bernard Stevens of Dunbar, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Bella Ray, Van Chester, Elijah Wade, and Benjamin Wyatt Leugers; three brothers, Raymond (Josephine) Leugers of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, James "Pete" (Jean) Leugers of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Terrance "Terry" (Janice) Leugers of Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Diane "Dee" Leugers of Surfside Beach, South Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jack and Ronald "Ron" Leugers. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. www.browndawson.com

TOM WAS A WONDERFUL BROTHER-IN-LAW. I WILL MISS HIM VERY MUCH. HE STOOD BY ME DURING THE WORST DAYS OF MY LIFE. I WILL ALWAYS TREASURE HIS AND CLETA'S FRIENDSHIP. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO HIS WIFE AND FAMILY.

I have many fond memories of growing up with Tom. He was a good friend and cousin. My sympathies to his immediate and extended families.
