As I am saddened to learn of Bill's passing, I am reminded of his role in the death of my next door cousin Larry D Koopman in 1957. Tragic event that affected our family and permanently scarred my Aunt. RIP to all involved.

Michlle, Stephanie and I are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill. We lived above the grocery store for a few years. He was a good friend to us and helped us out a lot. I know that he will be missed by everyone that knew him.

BILL, YOU WERE ONE OF A KIND AND I THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DID FOR ME. WHEN I NEEDED SOMEONE TO TALK TO YOU WERE ALWAYS THERE, IF I WAS RIGHT YOU TOLD ME, IF I WAS WRONG YOU TOLD ME! YOU HAVE TOUCHED SOME MANY KIDS FROM THE NIEGHBORHOOD AND ALL OF US WILL ALWAYS CHERISH THE FACT THAT YOU MADE US FEEL LIKE NOTHING WAS IMPOSSIBLE, IF WE WANTED IT BAD ENOUGH. O.G. YOU WILL BE MISSED BY MANY MANY PEOPLE. LOL

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Bill's family. I remember great times we had as kids when his family visited us in eastern Ky. Bill was my cousin and they, [Bill and his mom, Ida] always saved comic books for me. Billy and I played in the little creek that ran by our house. I believe that Bill was always my dad's [Hazel Dean] favorite nephew. Daddy lived near Bill for quite a while and was always talking about Bill. They were forever getting jokes on each other. Didn't mean to ramble on so much, but it is good to remember the good times. We will miss you Bill. Carol Dean Lusby and family.

To the Hieb family of whom myself and family have several memories of. Bill was an integral part of my childhood as my visits to Hieb's Market were frequent. I remember the time vividly when Bill and I went to the Great Miami River to seine for minnows. My times with Bill were fun just doing the things that guys enjoy, fishing and getting dirty. My dad, who is now deceased, thought very highly of Bill and enjoyed his company. Those days of my youth will always be a part of me as they have provided a sound foundation for the man that I am today. Being a kid on Grand Boulevard hanging outside of Heibe's market & bait shop will always be a special part of my experiences. To the Heib family, I want to extend to you during this time of sadness a good memory that you can cherish knowing that Bill will remain with those of us that have been fortunate enough to have been in his company.
Peace be with your family, friends and children during this troubling time.

In the 50 years that I knew Bill,I can say, His heart was bigger then the man,and the man was bigger then life itself. For in his passing, all that new him have lost a part of themselfs.
Part of me will go with him ,and part of him will remain with me.
His friendship I will surely miss,
his smile I will always remember, for both of them, He always show to me.My prayers are with his family and most of all his children, for they have lost a friend and a father. In closing ,there are many Bill's in this world, but only one Bill Hieb,
he was my friend, and I was he..One day I shell see him, again,
and I'm most assured that he will be smiling welcoming me...........
As Always......Just Butch

Oh my how time has past since I have seen Bill... I grew up with Kim, Billy and Michelle... I remember spending alot of time at their house and even working alittle with Kim at the bait shop. Bill was a great man and will be missed by all that knew him. I remember Bill was the one that got me to eat popcorn shrimp from Red Lobster and to this day that is the only seafood that I will eat... I will remember the happy times as I am sure that all of you will.. To Kim, Billy and Michelle.... I will be thinking of you in your time of sorrow...and will pray for you and you families... With all my love:
