Albert Hulett Obituary

Albert S. Hulett of Hammond, Louisiana died on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

Born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Al was a 1966 graduate of Hattiesburg High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 1970 and later a master's degree in architecture from Tulane University. Al spent several years as business manager for an architectural firm in Texas and seventeen years as president of Roseland Park Cemetery and Beverly Memorial Co. in Hattiesburg, businesses owned by the Hulett family. After the business was sold in 1995, he was employed by several architectural firms, including Sasaki Associates in Boston, and eventually retired from Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects in New Orleans in 2012.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert C. and Beverly Sikes Hulett, and his grandparents, Dr. James E. and Anna P. Hulett and Albert D. and Lula Grace Sikes, all of Hattiesburg. He is survived by his son David Carruth Hulett of Las Vegas and his daughter and son-in-law Kennon Beverly Hulett and Casey Krugman of Lawrence Township, New Jersey, his grandson Brandon Carruth Hulett of Las Vegas, his brother James Andrew Hulett of St. Petersburg, Florida, several cousins, and his longtime partner Eric Johnson of Hammond.
