I'm so sorry to hear of grandpa Carl's passing. Although it has been a long time, I have only fond memories and love for him. I am thinking of my distant aunts, uncles, and cousins during this difficult time. I know he is by grandma's side, smiling down on all of us. Peace.

I had the pleasure to know and work with Carl during my career as a Kings County Deputy Sheriff. Carl was the first Deputy I met when I started in the jail. We called him Mr. Clean because of his hair cut and none sense approach. He had a laugh which I can still hear. He told me he had been a security guard in Hollywood during the filming of "Its a Mad Mad World" and because he kept laughing on the set he was asked to stay away from the filming. Carl, Rest in Peace. You can now keep laughing with Kent and LaVerne.
