DANNY SILVA Obituary
September 19, 1946 – August 11, 2024
Danny Joseph Silva, age 77, passed away on August 11, 2024, in Fresno, California, after a long, debilitating illness. He was born on September 19, 1946, in Hanford, California, to Marcy and Pauline Silva.
Danny attended Saint Rose/McCarthy Catholic School, (SRM) where he served as an altar boy and played Saint Joseph in the annual Christmas play. He went on to Hanford High School, excelling in advanced math, science, and english classes-a testament to the strong foundation provided by SRM and the diligent supervision of his stay-at-home mother, who ensured he finished his homework. He graduated in 1964. During his time at Hanford High, Danny was an avid athlete, playing football and baseball, and was part of the Babe Ruth championship team that advanced to the Northern California Championships. When he was not studying or playing sports, he irrigated fields and raked hay for his Dad who grew cotton and alfalfa.
After high school, Danny attended the University of San Francisco and Fresno State, where he pursued his passion for accounting. He served his country by enlisting in the National Guard and eventually found his calling as an accountant. Danny began his career as an auditor for Bank of America before embracing his entrepreneurial spirit by opening several Nutri-System facilities on the island of Hawaii.
Danny is survived by his beloved wife, Tarese; his daughter, Dr. M. Jasmine Silva (mother Rhonda Randolph); his sister, Carren Silva Daigle; his brother, Dr. Kenneth Silva (wife Nancy) and two grandchildren.
A Rosary and Mass will be held in his honor at Saint Brigid Catholic Church on September 6, 2024 at 10:30 AM. Danny will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

I´m so very sorry to read of Danny´s death. I have many fond memories of Danny from our 12 years of school together. He was always friendly and had such a great smile.
My sympathy and prayers are with all he left behind.
