DEBBY RICKEY Obituary
May 30, 1959 – January 18, 2026
Debby Ann Wilson was born on May 30, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan to Olive (Farwell) Wilson and Frank Wilson.
She dedicated her life to Jehovah God in baptism on November 15, 1973 in Detroit, Michigan.
She moved to California in August of 1979, where she continued her education to become a teacher.
She married James Rickey on July 10, 1993 in Hanford, California. During their 32 years of marriage they pursued their mutual love of teaching and traveling. They especially enjoyed exploring the beautiful state of California with its many parks such as Yosemite and Sequoia. Debby also loved the flowers that she was able to grow in her yard, especially the roses and her bougainvillea.
Debby lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, January 18, 2026. She will be missed by her family and friends. Debby is survived by her husband, James Rickey, and her sisters; Linda Wilson, Marie Wilson, and Dianne and Brad Bourne, as well as her nieces and nephews.

truly sorry to hear of her passing our many condolences to her family and Jim of their loss. We have known Her and her family since they came to California, Debbie and their family were kind and caring people and nice to visit with when we came to town.

My condolences to the family on your recent loss. I knew Debby as a teacher and truly respected the job she did. She could always be counted on and was very kind, caring and respectful to all students she came in contact with, and her students in turn respected her. I feel honored to have known Debby and wish positive healing for the family.
