Eleanor Simas Obituary
Eleanor spent most of her years working on the Simas Family dairy and being in the kitchen as a homemaker. The love for her family was always evident as well as a concern for her friends. She will always be remembered, indefinitely for her baking of her famous brownies, rice pudding and pancakes. She was a member of SPRSI.
Eleanor was married to Clarence Simas who passed away in 1990.
Eleanor is survived by daughter Beverly Felipe and son-in-law Stanley of Hanford; son Leonard Simas and daughter-in-law Debbie; a brother, LeRoy Souza and sister-in-law Valera of Hanford; a sister, Anna Schneider and brother-in-law Richard of Fresno; sister-in-law Ludrie Souza of Fresno and Cindy Souza of Hanford; daughters-in-law Teresa Simas of Hanford and Joanne (Simas) Billitti; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Melvin in 2001; and nine brothers and sisters.
There will be a viewing and Rosary at Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Service at 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, with the Rosary beginning at 6 p.m. Services will be held at St. Brigid Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 11.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

She will be sadly missed, she was always checking on me. When my daughter was dignosed with cancer. When she already had problems of her own. Our hearts go out to you and yours as you grieve her loss. She was a very honorable & gracious lady. May she rest in peace With Love...
