Geneva Lloyd Obituary

Geneva Byrd Lloyd, 85, died at 10:25 a.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013 at her home in Lemoore, CA. She was born on November 11, 1927 in Tampa, FL. Genny was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years James (Jim) Lloyd and her parents Robert Elmo and Phoebe Deen Byrd. She is survived by her two sons Robert and Daniel Lloyd and their families. Genny has two sisters Malkane Atkinson of Broxton, GA, and Kathy Powell of Dawson, GA.
Genny lived a full and exciting life. She traveled extensively as a navy wife. Genny had a career with the CIA with assignments in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Japan, as well as Washington D.C.
After her husband retired from the Navy, they settled in Lemoore, CA, and started SEL Service. Genny's family grew up in Lemoore, CA and had many friends in the area.
Genny loved being a member of the Fleet Reserve Auxiliary where she served as an officer in Hutchinson, KS, Memphis, TN, as well as Hawaii and overseas stations.
Special gratitude goes from the family to Genny's caretakers Jimmy and Stella Aceves, Chris Guzman, Rose Valencia and Carla Smith. They were like family to Genny, Robert, and Dan.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday June 11, 2013 at the Fleet Reserve in Lemoore, CA, at 2 p.m. The services will be conducted by the Reverend Stella Aceves.

To the Family of GENEVA "GENNY" LLOYD
No matter how long they have been with us, it is never easy to lose someone you love. My sympathy goes out to the Family and Friends during this time of grief.
