JIMMIE ALLISON NULL
March 4, 1946 – September 6, 2025
Jimmie Allison Null passed away on September 06, 2025 from Alzheimer 's, which he suffered from for several years. He fought a courageous battle. He was 79. Jimmie was born on March 4, 1946 and raised in Armona, California. He was the eldest of 4 children. Jimmie was very into sports, playing baseball, basketball and later tennis and racket ball. He attended Hanford High School and was class president of the graduating class of 1964. He continued his education, graduating 2 years later with an AA from Merced Jr College. He worked for Branch & Chambers Stationary store in Hanford, moved to Merced, CA, working for Spriggs Stationers and became manager for Shelburns Stationary in Fresno, CA. In 1976 , while managing the store in Fresno, Jimmie met his current wife, Sharon. Together they move to Modesto, CA, where they have lived for the past 49 years.
Jimmie continued his career in the stationary industry, working for Commercial Office Products, Modesto Office Products and American Pad and Paper Company. He also was a Class A truck driver, working for MMC Trucking and American Laminet, until his retirement in 2019.
Jimmie was a member of the Lyons Club, Rotary Club and Elks Lodge 1282 but his heart was with the Clampers, E Clampus Vitus Chapter 58. There was nothing he liked more than to sit around a camp fire and play his guitar. Every April and October his chapter would meet. Better known to his clamper friends as "Alice", Jimmie proceeded through the chairs and became president in 1984. He developed additional historical camping trips, and traveled extensively in CA , Nevada and Arizona with his Clamper buddies.
As members of the Elks Lodge and the Good Timers RV Club, Jimmie and Sharon traveled with them in their 5th wheel, always looking forward to a camp fire, good company and guitar music.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 47 years, Sharon, daughter Brandy Carpentier of Washington, stepsons Christopher McKinley (wife Gail), James LaChance (wife Wendy), sisters Alma Rita Hasting (Robert), JudyAnn Erwin, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Jay.
Jimmie will be greatly missed by many. A celebration of his life and luncheon will be held on October 26, 2025 at the Elks Lodge 1282, 645 Charity Way, Modesto, CA from 1PM-5PM with a no-host bar. Private burial will be at a later date.
