Manuel will always be remembered for his love of his Lord and Savior, his wife and family. In his own words, "I just want God's truth said, to touch other peoples heart like God touched my heart and life." He was a man who never met a stranger and was well loved by everyone he knew. He was a steward of the land and animals and taught his family the value of hard work, which was reflected by 32 consecutive years of receiving the Dairy of Merit Award.

Milk Advisory Board, Dairyman's Cooperative Creamery Assoc., Consolidated Dairy Association, Knights of Columbus, First Side Ditch, Holy Name Society, Lemoore Council of St. Anthony, I.D.E.S., U.P.E.C., Kings River-Hardwick School Board Trustee, and a member of Calvary Chapel for over 20 years.

Manuel is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Josephine; daughters Elaine and husband Stan Azevedo, Jane Hoggard, Patricia and husband George Loogman and daughter-in-law Denise (Rose) Little; 8 grandchildren: Michelle (Greg) Maciel, Rob (Sarah) Azevedo, Greg (Martha) Azevedo, Monty (Melanie) Hoggard, Manuel (Denise) Hoggard, George (Angela) Loogman, Michael (Erika) Hoggard, Kathleen (Jason) Fagundes; and 14 (soon to be 15) great-grandchildren: Cody, Zach, Chandler, Stratton, Holly, Briggs, Mikayla, Steven, Allison, McCormick, Kallie, Aubree, Blake, and Lauren.

He is also survived by his sister, Arlene and brother-in-law, Louie Simas, brother, Juvenal and sister-in-law Rosalie Rosa, brother and sister-in-law Andrew and Marie Ormonde, sister-in-law Lavina Avila, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Melvin and Sharlotte Ormonde, many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Manuel was preceded in death by son, Manuel Rose, Jr., parents Apolinario and Maria Da Rosa; brother Alfred Da Rosa, sister Mary Rodriguese, son-in-law Monty Hoggard and brother-in-laws John Rodriguese and Tony Avila.

Private visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at Phipps-Dale Funeral Chapel in Lemoore. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Lemoore Cemetery.
