PATSY LOU GILKEY

October 23, 1934 – November 29, 2025

Patsy Lou Gilkey, lovingly known as Pat, was born on October 23, 1934, in Los Angeles, California, and went home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2025. A devoted woman of God, Pat lived her life with quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a heart that continually turned toward others.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Ralph Gilkey. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family - a partnership that remained a source of comfort and strength throughout her days.

Pat was the cherished mother of her three children: Steven Meade Gilkey and his wife Lynn, Brent Charles Gilkey and his wife Ladean, and Carole Patrice Burgo and her husband Dennis. Her love for her children was steadfast, gentle, and unconditional - the kind of love that shaped, anchored, and blessed her family for generations.

Pat poured her heart into her community. She valued her work with the PTA, her years as a Cub Scout Den Mother, and her active involvement in the Corcoran Guild, 50/50, and Garden Club. She also spent time working with the Corcoran Journal, and though she moved from Corcoran in 1995, she continued receiving The Journal until her passing. Pat loved golfing as a member of Kings Country Club and had a passion for travel with memories of the Holy Land and an African safari standing among her most treasured experiences. In her later years, nothing brought her more joy than her daily walks along the Central Coastline.

Pat was a devoted member of St. Brigid Catholic Church in Hanford, where she deeply enjoyed serving with the Altar Society. Her St. Brigid family held a special place in her heart.

After moving to the Central Coast, Pat became a member of ARISE Church in San Luis Obispo. Its warm, welcoming staff and inspirational atmosphere were a blessing to her, and she dearly loved her ARISE family and friends.

Selfless in every sense of the word, Pat always thought of others before herself. She sought meaningful ways to comfort, support, and uplift those around her. Whether through a kind word, a prayer, or a quiet act of service, her presence brought warmth, peace, and compassion to every room she entered.

A woman of deep grace and unwavering humility, Pat's life was guided by faith, love, and a genuine heart for others. Her legacy lives on in her children, her seven grandchildren, her six great-grandchildren, and in the countless lives she touched with her kindness.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever celebrated.

Graveside services will be held at Corcoran Cemetery, 4170 Waukena Ave, Corcoran, CA 93212, on December 18th at 1:00 p.m. Celebration of Life and reception will follow immediately at the Corcoran RAC Facility, 900 Dairy Ave, Corcoran, CA 93212.
