Ruby Box Obituary
Ruby was dedicated and took pride in her work, she worked as a cook for over 22 years and still found time to enjoy her favorite hobbies; you would always find her playing bingo with her friends and if she wasn't doing that she would be playing card with her family. She liked her quilting, needle point and crocheting she loved spending time with her family. She met and married the love of her life Milas A. Box they were married for 41 years until his passing in November 19, 1979. Ruby was a devoted mother, she raised seven children.
Ruby is survived by her sons, Kermet, Bobby, Darrell and Jackie Box; daughter, Phyllis Froley; her brothers, Lehman, Olen and Harold Gene Gaither and her 28 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Billy Box, daughter Doris Nell, son-in-law, William Froley, her three sisters and four brothers. She will be missed dearly by everyone that knew her.
A viewing will be held on Monday, November 1, 2010 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. with Funeral Services at 11 a.m. at Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Service. Burial to follow at Hanford Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Services Chapel in Hanford.

This fantastic lady only touched my life for a brief moment but she was the statue of womanhood and pride. I loved her smile and open heart . Fair minded and old world to the max. Nothing getting past her . I am sure she is Peaceful now with her beloved daughter and son close a hand ....God Bless You Ruby ...

To the Box Family- I am very sorry to hear of Granny's passing. I will miss visiting her and am grateful she kept contact with me over the years. My condolences to the rest of the Box family. Granny's Great-Grandson

My condolences to the entire Box family. I've known them since I was a little girl and my grandparents (Ernie and Alpha Camacho) used to frequent the restaurant where Ruby worked. The Box family has always been like an extension of our own family and my heart and prayers are with you all!

Sorry to hear about the loss of Ruby. She always brought a smile to my mother (Alpha Camacho) heart. And many others also. I remember when ever i was with my mom and we spoke to her she was always laughing.
I'm sure she will live in everyones hearts for ever. And she is still smileing. May GOD BLESS. "Suzi Pettigrew"

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Ruby. I know she was loved and respected by all that knew her. It has been along time since we have been gone from Hanford, but I still remember her kindness.
