Charlotte Elaine Rhoades, 74, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025 in her home. She was born November 2, 1950 in Hannibal, Missouri
Charlotte and her husband were previous owners of the Shortstop convenience stores in Hannibal and Louisiana, Missouri. She was employed for many years as a telephone operator with SBC and AT&T. She also was formerly employed with Farmers Bank in the call center at their main office in Greenwood, Arkansas. Charlotte enjoyed her retirement by listening to music, decorating her home, collecting sand and rock from different places, and reading books. She wrote a collection of poems and put them in a book for each one of her grandchildren. Her foundation was her family and what she treasured and loved above all else.
She is survived by her two sons, Troy Rhoades of Greenwood, and Shea Rhoades and wife Juliana of Colbert, OK; one daughter, Tavia (Rhoades) Stiegler and husband, Philip of Reisterstwon, MD; six grandchildren, Tanner Rhoades and wife Shelby, Hannah Rhoades, Sage Stiegler, Lexi (Rhoades) McClaine and husband Brayden, Theron Stiegler and Hadley Rhoades and one great grandson, Henry Rhoades; sister Cathy Perry of Hannibal, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Paul Perry and Beverlay Frances (Coates) Perry and three siblings; Dr. Robert "Bob" Perry of Mansfield, MO, Rodney Perry of Hannibal, MO and Cynthia "Cindy" Whitaker of Hannibal, MO.
The family will have a private memorial service.
